Our Mission:
To provide visually and mobility-impaired individuals with access to vigorous outdoor activities in summer and winter.
Who we are:
Black Hills Regional Ski for Light is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded more than 40 years ago. It is modeled after Ski for Light Inc., an international organization with groups in more than 26 countries, which provides adaptive cross-country skiing opportunities to enhance the quality of life and independence of visually or mobility-impaired adults.

Events
Ski for Light
Our annual four-day winter event takes place in the Black Hills of South Dakota. This unforgettable experience offers two skiing venues, one for cross-country and another for downhill skiing, as well as opportunities for snowshoeing and snowmobiling. We welcome all visually and mobility-impaired individuals to join us, whether they have never skied before or are an advanced skier.

Summer Light
Our summer event, Summer Light, takes place in August at Camp Bob Marshall in the southern Black Hills of South Dakota. Participants can look forward to accessible activities, including bicycling, boating, fishing, hiking, and fun in the sun.
